Ambition. Dedication. Pride.
For A Life Time Of Music Appreciation, Dare To Think Beyond Geographic & Time Boundaries
The work of the orchestra as a whole is to present a survey of quality music through the past hundred years. As musicians, we seek to analyze the essential musical elements, creative processes, and the intimate connection music has with race, class, and culture. It is a cross-discipline approach designed to cultivate an appreciation for the performing arts. Our approach includes selecting music literature from various musical periods and genres, looking at how it reflects or affects the development of social communities.
Our performances are designed to provide audiences the opportunity to travel places around the world and be exposed to history and culture through carefully selected works of music. We orchestrate our concerts as a vehicle to instill within our audience the desire to think about how music serves to unite and improve our society at large.

HIRE A MUSICIAN
NEED A MUSICIAN FOR A SPECIAL EVENT? HIRE A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN
Many of our very proficient musicians, outside of their band responsibilities, interact with the community by playing in small ensembles, performing in schools and at events such as weddings, fundraisers and even funerals. This diversifies the work of our professional musician and allows them to contribute to the community on a different and more personal level.
In addition, many of our musicians are music educators in our local schools and offer private lessons for children and adults. Lessons, for those looking to advance their understanding and musical skills, are a great opportunity to utilize the wonderful resource of having a community of professional musicians.
